Olivier Primeau’s willingness to find himself again surrounded by the hottest singles of Instagram to advise them will probably not have been enough to ensure the survival of XOXO; it can indeed be read in the Journal de Montréal that TVA confirms that there will be no second season for the “new era of reality television”.
It will probably not be a very surprising announcement for Quebecers who have – by far – preferred to watch the adventures of the participants of Occupation Double Greece. On the side of XOXO, the program attracted an average of only 459,000 viewers. By comparison, the daily newspapers of OD Greece attracted 490,000 people, but it was Sunday night that the ratings exploded with more than a million people at the rendezvous.
TVA has also announced that Sonia Benezra’s new show, Tout le monde aime, will not have been ironically enough for a second season. The last show will be broadcast Sunday, April 28 and Dan Bigras will be the guest of honor.
It will be remembered that TVA also recently put an end to the TV show O ‘which, after eight years, will be extinguished on March 26th when the last episode airs.
The broadcaster has not confirmed what will replace these programs for the time being at the Fall 2019 schedule, but should announce it soon.
